More Wedding Crafts

I question whether I should post these pictures because this is not how the completed item would look but at least gives an idea of what I've been working on this past day.

I've put together what I'm considering (and Corey agrees with) for centerpieces. I am duplicating the idea from Marth Stewart. You can see my earlier post about DIY ideas and it shows a picture for seating arrangements. To carry that idea through, I thought I could make these "mini-beaches" for the centerpieces. Flowers are too common.

This isn't the final project but I found the perfect container to hold the sand, which is a plant saucer. The number would be on something nicer than the cardboard I used to see what it looked like. And I would have different shells on the "beach" as well.

I also gave an attempt to decorating my sandals for the wedding. I picked up plain white flip flops from Old Navy and decided to bead them with some pearls, which are also on the dress. I basically took beading thread and wrapped it around the flop with 2 of the beads. It's certainly not perfect but I figure who is going to get that close to my shoes to notice the difference. For a first attempt, I am pleased. Ignore my very ugly non-pedicured foot.
