Wedding plans are moving forward at a good pace. I booked my photographer who is Katie Beyer. One was recommended from the wedding coordinator at the resort and he wasn't available. I asked for recommendations (who better than from a good photographer) and based on quality of photo's, the rate, and personality, I selected Katie. Someone had told me it was important to be able to relate to your photographer and I felt Katie and I hit it off once we talked with another. Another photographer I was communicating with made me feel like a number.
I also found my dress! Originally, I wanted something simple and my mother and I found a cute BCBG dress that she bought for me to wear. (Sale at Macy's for $89) Then I started worrying that others might be more dressed than I so I did my final shopping stop at Alfred Angelo and loved the dress. The other one will now be my rehearsal dinner dress.
I also made and sent out our save the date card. I took the picture at Sirata when we visited one weekend to check out another wedding.

I'm now looking at ideas for flowers. I know I don't want to waste money on real flowers since they will not be used for anything else and die immediately. I've looked at silk flowers but recently saw information about DIY paper flowers.

I'm going to play around with it and see if I can make anything that looks decent.
